Montpelier Square
Montpelier Square is an attractive garden square on the north west side of Montpelier Street. The central garden is a delightful oasis with many mature trees.
The northern section of the square has very imposing family houses consisting of five storeys (plus basement), many covered in attractive creeper. The house on the north west corner of the square has an unusual carved stone eagle perching on the ground floor entranceway. There are also some particularly imposing houses in the north west corner of the square leading to Montpelier Terrace.
The central garden square is unusual in that it is surrounded by a high privet hedge which makes it very private.
