First Street runs between Walton Street and Mossop Street. It consists of cottage-style, two- and three-storey houses, some completely painted, others with brick above first floor level. The houses have steps leading up to the front entrances and railings in front. At the northern end of the street is the neighbourhood restaurant, The Enterprise. The street is only a couple of minutes walk from the shops and restaurants at Brompton Cross
